Urgent repair work at accommodation block

Godden Allen Lawn is pulling out all the stops to make sure repairs to an accommodation block at the historic Duke of York’s Royal Military School in Dover are completed on time.

We were called in to tackle a major problem at the school, where inspections discovered that virtually all the showers within a two-storey building that is just ten years old had been leaking for some time.

It means ripping out and replacing all the floors in the 60 units that make up the sixth form boarding house and carrying out a complete refurbishment, with the work due to be completed by 21 February next year.

Godden Allen Lawn identified the problem, specified the work needed to tackle it and is now acting as the contract administrator for the project, which has 30  en-suite rooms on each of two floors.
