Successful trial inspires more of the same

A few months back Godden Allen Lawn was asked to carry out a trial condition survey on a building at the historic Duke of York’s Royal Military School in Dover as a possible ‘best practice’ approach to the site as a whole.

After evaluating the results of that trial survey, the school has asked us to use the approach as a template for other buildings on the site so that the owners can use the survey results to create a five-year maintenance programme for these important buildings.

“We are delighted to be playing our part in protecting such a significant part of Dover’s heritage,” commented partner Nick Lawn. “We are also contininuing to tackle water ingress in a number of other buildings on the site to help protect these lovely old buildings well into the future.”
