Fixing a hole where the rain gets in

Gooden Allen Lawn is continuing to care for some of the historic buildings  at the Duke of York’s Royal Military School in Dover, where we are continuing to be responsible for the repair work to two blocks of four staff houses.

We have now been asked to tackle problems with water ingress in some of the other buildings on the historic site, many of which are listed, and after surveying the properties we are now carrying out remedial works to the buildings.

“These are essentially minor repairs, but they are vital to keep out the rain and preserve the integrity of these fine old buildings,” said partner Nick Lawn.
